The product and the need

Producers feeding energy into the grid have to report planned outages, answer redispatch requests and keep their master data current, each against a deadline. The portal puts all of it in one place, on any screen.

Decisions that held

  • One design system, extended

New screens reuse the designer’s tokens and components, so the product grows without a second visual language.

  • Sign-in the utility already runs

OAuth2 sign-in, wired to the utility’s identity provider.

  • A deadline on every card

Each outage carries its own state, countdown and next action, from due in five days to completed.

How it grew

It started as a few drawn screens: the dashboard and outage management. The rest of the portal followed in the same system, screen by screen, down to every phone layout.
