A customer portal for a German energy utility. The designer left two screens, the dashboard and outages; I built them, then every screen after them, with the data, logic and flows behind them, on desktop, tablet and phone.

The brief

A designer drew the dashboard and the outage screens for the desktop, in a small design system of their own. Every other screen, the phone and tablet layouts, and the logic behind them were still to be built.

The system

New screens are built from the designer’s tokens and components, not next to them: the same spacing scale, the same card anatomy, the same states. Storybook documents each component, so the next screen starts from what already exists.
